Purpose
The El Paso County Board of County Commissions (BOCC) has the authority to appoint citizens to serve as members of an advisory board known as the El Paso County Planning Commission (PC) pursuant to C.R.S. § 30-28-103 and C.R.S. § 30-28-104. The PC is authorized to review planning petitions, make recommendations to the BOCC on land use requests, and to adopt a Master Plan for unincorporated areas of the County. The PC also has the authority to make the final determination regarding Approval of Location applications pursuant to C.R.S. § 30-28-110.
